As CEO and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Asia Design Week, my responsibilities span from strategizing the event's objectives to leading a diverse team across various departments like event planning, marketing, and sponsor recruitment. I ensure seamless execution by fostering collaboration and communication within the team and engaging closely with stakeholders for support. As Chairman, I oversee event execution, promptly addressing any issues, and collaborate with industry leaders to organize forums and seminars, advancing the design industry in Asia. In essence, my role is to lead the team in realizing the event's vision, fostering innovation, and providing a platform for the Asian design community's talent showcase and industry advancement.
Guest Lecturer and Master's Supervisor on Arts and Design
As a Guest Lecturer and mentor for Master's Supervisor in the field of Arts and Design at Lincoln University College, I integrate my industry experience and practice into teaching, aiming to provide students with practical and inspiring learning experiences. In my role as an industry mentor, I incorporate exhibitions and competitions as integral parts of teaching. By organizing visits to art exhibitions and participating in design competitions, I expose students to the latest industry trends, expanding their horizons and igniting creative inspiration. Encouraging active participation, I provide guidance and support to help students integrate classroom learning with real projects, enhancing their professional skills and competitiveness. Through dialogue and discussions, I guide students to deeply explore the conceptual and expressive aspects of their work, fostering their artistic and design thinking. By incorporating exhibitions and competitions into teaching, I aim to nurture students' creativity, innovation, and industry adaptability, laying a solid foundation for their future career development.
